The state government of Sikkim hosted a state banquet this afternoon at Samman Bhawan in honour of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s visit to Sikkim before he departs for his scheduled visit to Salugara.

The luncheon was also attended by state dignitaries and officials including Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, Shri Biswanath Somadder, Chief Justice of Sikkim, Shri Arun K. Upreti, Speaker of Sikkim Legislative Assembly, and others.

A brief photo session with His Holiness the Dalai Lama was held before concluding the state banquet.
