₹ 11000 were raised as a local contribution, and a 10 member WUC was formed. The intervention included setting up the overhead tank, boring and laying of pipe, electricity connection, water connections in 59 Households, three public standpoints, and connections in Anganwadi Centre and a primary school. Simultaneously requiring raising awareness among the community on health and hygiene.

In Birbhum, 83 water points have been provided by water for people, excluding mini piped systems. The water user committee comprises 931 members, with 53% (482) female representatives. 25 WUCs have more than 60% female representation and 11 WUCs with more than 70% female representation.
