Honestly we all know Pani Puri is the best Indian street food ever!
Some might argue that puchkas or fuchkas of West Bengal is the best, while others might say the Pani Pani of the West India is the best and people in the North might argue about Golgappa.
Names might be different but more or less it's all the same, made up of crispy fried shell studd with potatoes, chickpeas, spices or chili's and filled with flavoured water.
Although from region to region the filling changes a little, making the golgappa or panipuri little more tangier or spicer but the ingredients remain the same.
But whichever version we like, agree or disagree with, one thing we all can agree about is eat the pani puri as quickly as possible to avoid the puri getting soggy or leaking, and always eat it one bite.
That's the right way to eat Pani Puri.
Also today being Pani Puri day reminds me of the time, how whole of India were making Pani Puri at home during lockdown.
I remember the whole wide world stopped and we were craving for Pani puri, as especially because of hygiene issue back then people started making pani puri at home, those were such good days!
Did you also make pani puri at home during covid?
