Muhammad Khalid Hotak, the flag bearer and captain of the Afghanistan national wushu team, yesterday in his first match at the Hangzhou Asian Games, at the weight of 70 kg, in an attractive match, was able to defeat Nur Sultan Azmurzayev from Kazakhstan and advance to the next round.

With this victory, Hotak reached the quarter finals of the tournament. His next opponent is the Indian wrestler, and if Hotak wins this match, he will secure the bronze medal.

Mohammad Khaled Hotak won a bronze medal in the last Asian Games in Indonesia. He is Afghanistan's only medalist from the 2013 Wushu World Championships.
