If you ever find yourself near west of UP, you must visit the culturally rich and historically significant Raza library of Rampur. It is among the most significant libraries in South Asia.
It was established in 1774 by Nawab Faizullah Khan and is a treasure trove of Indo-Islamic intellectual and artistic endeavours.
The Nawabs of Rampur were ardent supporters of literature, art, and culture. Through their efforts, this library now owns precious books, rare manuscripts, and beautiful pieces of artwork. 17000 manuscripts in Arabic, Persian, Pashto, Sanskrit, Urdu, Hindi, and Turkish have their homes in the library. It also has a sizable collection of palm leaves and paintings in several Indian languages. There are also about 60,000 printed books accessible in different Indian and other languages.
There are beautiful lawns and an oasis of greenery. It has amazing architecture. Rare, antiquated manuscripts exist. The captivating museum is breath- taking for the visitors and, is also incredibly educational.
