Health Department Holds Workshop to Apprise Significance of Sowa-Rigpa and Allopathy Integration Project.

A committee consisting of physicians from Sowa-Rigpa and the Allopathy medical system was formed during the workshop convened on allopathy and sowa rigpa integration project held at Bir-Chauntra on 10 August. The committee of the conjoined medical system will serve as an advisor and supervise the public on precautionary methods during pandemics as well as promote public awareness of diseases to improve the overall health standard of the Tibetan residents.

Similarly, under the same initiative, Personal Physician to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Dr Tsetan Dorji Sadutshang, and Dr Tsewang Tamdin spoke to Tibetans in Sonamling Tibetan Settlement to inform the importance of integrating Sowa-Rigpa and Allopathy on 14 August 2023. It was attended by the director and nurses of the local Tibetan Primary Health Care Centre and sMenpas from the local Men-tsee-khang.
