Here is how you can flash fill a data set in excel .

When you go to data tab you will find an option to flash fill content or you can use its keyboard shortcut Ctrl + E .

Then follow these simple steps :

1) Insert a new column adjacent to the column with your source data.

2) In the first cell of a newly added column, type the desired value.

3) start typing from next cell and excel should at this point sense the pattern and provide autofill option .
