Yesterday morning His Holiness the Dalai Lama flew from Delhi and arrived in Leh at about 10:30am.

Tens of thousands of local people, Ladakhis and Tibetans, dressed in their best clothes and holding silk scarves in their hands lined both sides of the road from the airport all the way to the Shewatsel Phodrang to greet His Holiness.
