His Holiness the Dalai Lama is scheduled to inaugurate the First International Sangha Forum in Bodhgaya, Bihar, on December 20. The forum, themed "Bridging Traditions, Embracing Modernity: A Dialogue on the Buddha’s Teaching in Today’s World," will bring together Sangharajas, Abbots, and heads of Buddhist institutions.

Over 2,000 Sangha members from 33 countries, spanning various Buddhist traditions, will participate. The conference aims to enhance dialogue and collaboration among Pali, Sanskrit, and Tibetan Buddhist traditions, emphasizing shared benefits while appreciating each tradition's unique strengths. The event will also explore the contemporary meaning of being a Buddhist in the 21st century.
