We all know the national sports of our country ( India) is Hockey , but there is not that much craze for hockey in india ,the way it is for other sports like cricket and football.

Honestly I am also not a big fan of hockey because from childhood I used to watch cricket only. I don't know rules of hockey game properly till now and I think this thing is also same in case of most of people of our country.

In our country Hockey doesn't get the support which other sports have like cricket . Authorities should take measures to promote hockey and they should organise more domestic leagues for this sport as well ,it would help in attracting or enhancing fan base .

Olympics is already playing a major role in promoting many games . In tokyo Olympics 2020 , our men's and women's hockey team played so well and made whole nation proud . They got appreciation from the Prime minister as well . These are the things that encourage the people to know more about the that particular sport.

Games like hockey , table- tennis and badminton etc should also get sufficient recognition . Apart from Olympics , the players should get other platforms as well where they can show case there talent .

We should also support other sports , the way we are supporting cricket as other athletes are also doing too much hardwork so they should also get proper recognition and award.
