Homecoming! - IPL Legend Gautam Gambhir Returns Home to KKR🟣🟡

In a monumental development, two time IPL champions, the Kolkata Knight Riders have announced that former KKR captain Gautam Gambhir will return to the franchise as a mentor.

Gambhir served the role of a mentor at Lucknow Supergiants in IPL 2022 and IPL 2023. He was also an integral part of the team that structured the inaugural LSG squad after the IPL Mega Auction of 2022.

Gambhir's History at KKR:

Gambhir's "Homecoming" will be marked by his return to KKR after a span of 6 years. He took over the captaincy of the franchise in 2011 and had the big shoes of Sourav Ganguly to fill. Gambhir captained the Kolkata-based franchise from 2011 to 2017 and won the IPL twice - in 2012 and 2014. These are the only two IPL trophies KKR have in their cabinet. The franchise reached the Playoffs five times in total during Gambhir's captaincy tenure.
