In Morena district, a suspected case of honour killing has emerged where an 18-year-old girl named Shivani Tomar and her 21-year-old boyfriend Radheshyam Tomar was allegedly murdered by the girl's parents and relatives.

The incident occurred in Ratanbasai village, where the couple's relationship was strongly opposed by both families. Initially, the police suspected that the couple had eloped, but no evidence could be found to support this.

A complaint was filed by the boy's father, leading to a case being registered at Ambah police station.

Efforts are being made by the police, with the assistance of SDRF divers, to recover the bodies, which were believed to have been disposed of in the crocodile-infested waters of the Chambal River.

So far, no evidence of firearms usage has been found, and the investigation remains ongo
