A story that is not of two equal sides but of occupation, displacement, and the quest for freedom - and now a genocide that the world watches silently. The Palestinian struggle against the Israeli occupation is a battle for self-determination, human rights, and justice.

The history of the Israeli-Palestinian 'conflict' is fraught with tragedy and injustice. For Palestinians, it began with the Nakba in 1948, the forced expulsion of hundreds of thousands from their ancestral lands as the State of Israel was established.

Since less than a month ago, much over 8,000 Palestinians have been killed with their hospitals bombed. Israel is committing war crimes one after the other, including the use of white phosphorus - inducing the worst kind of tragedy on innocents in the name of self defence. Phosphorus burns as long as there is oxygen and can reach 815°C, which means it burns your flesh and organs from within giving you a slow torturous death. Once again, while the world watches and major superpowers fund these warcrimes.

Israel's attacks on Gaza are not of self defence for self defence does not include burning children alive. Self defence does not include bombing all the hospitals one by one, nor does it include posting AI generating images to gain forced sympathy. And what it most certainly doesn't include is going on tiktoks and making insensitive, racist and shameful jokes about people dying. This is a strategically thought-out massacre.

The question is, why are we silent? Why is Palestine not getting the support Ukraine did?
