Hotel K-Drama Romances That Are Worth Checking Out

“Encounter”

Cha Soo Hyun is the CEO of Dong Hwa Hotel and the daughter of influential parents. After her divorce, she devotes herself to building the hotel. When a work trip takes her to Havana, she meets Kim Jin Hyuk. The two find themselves irresistibly drawn to each other, but can Soo Hyun throw caution to the winds and Jin Hyuk withstand the many hurdles in their relationship? "Encounter" is a beautiful show that needs to be savored. Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum give a nuanced performance and the drama has a lilting soundtrack.

“Hotel King”

Cha Jae Wan is a hotshot manager of the super luxe Hotel Ciel, but his sole agenda is to take revenge on the owner Ah Sung Won. After Sung Won's death, his only child Mo Ne arrives at the hotel, which is in dire financial straits. Jae Won finds his protective instinct and an attraction to Mo Ne, leading to a passionate love story between them. Lee Da Hae and Lee Dong Wook's chemistry is a far cry from their cutesy romance in "My Girl".

“Smile Again”

Dong Hae is a short-track speed skating champion who visits Korea to meet his girlfriend Sae Hwa. However, Sae Hwa changes her mind and imposes conditions on Dong Hae, including leaving his mother. After an accident, Dong Hae decides to stay back and fulfill his mother's wish. Bong Yi  befriends Anna and Dong Hae and offers them a job at the Camellia Hotel. It comes to light that Dong Hae's father is actually the owner of the hotel.

Will Anna and Dong Hae get their due and will Dong Hae be reinstated as the rightful heir of the hotel? "Smile Again" is a long show, spanning over 160 episodes. Ji Chang Wook plays Dong Hae effortlessly, bringing forth his character's resilience and strength with ease.

“My Secret Hotel”

Nam Sang Hyo organizes his ex-husband's wedding, but a murder in the hotel complicates the situation. Jo Sung Gyeom finds himself attracted to her, while Namgoong Min holds the fort as the charming second lead.
