This was the moment where fans started to realise the 25-year-old was getting back to his best. He played with freedom and supreme confidence which Ten Hag deserves praise for as he continued to persist with Rashford. This ultimately awarded the forward with a place in the England squad and he performed well in Qatar when he was given the opportunity. Rashford has continued his hot spell of form as he has scored in all of United’s three games since the restart after the World Cup.
The 25-year-old also looks an improved player as even when he was in good form in the past, he was criticised for his erratic nature and decision-making in front of goal. This is clearly an area where he has improved in as he looks composed in front of goal and is making the right decisions. Alongside his electrifying pace and skills, this could make him a world-class prospect. Whether he achieves this is yet to be seen however he has definitely got back to his best and for that, he deserves the plaudits.
