Tata Motors is set to make a big impact on the Indian auto industry with the upcoming release of its highly anticipated vehicle, the Tata Curvv.
Its getting closer to its launch date, people are getting more and more excited about this new addition.
With so many impressive midsize SUVs already on the market, like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara, the Curvv is ready to compete strongly.
The initial feedback from its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 suggests that Tata has been smart in incorporating successful features and components from its popular Nexon model. This not only helps keep costs down, but also demonstrates Tata's commitment to innovation.
The Curvv's interior reveals a striking resemblance to the Nexon, featuring a similar three-tone, multi-layer dashboard and a two-spoke steering wheel. The layout of the 10.25-inch screens, designated for infotainment and driver display, mirrors that of the Nexon, suggesting a shared user interface and experience, as reported by DriveSpark.
Furthermore, the switchgear and buttons, integral to the vehicle's operations, also indicate a commonality between the two models. This strategic parts sharing extends beyond the cabin, hinting at a broader platform commonality that is likely to benefit both the manufacturer and the consumers in terms of cost and reliability.
Despite its shared DNA with the Nexon, the Curvv is expected to boast an array of features aimed at enhancing comfort, convenience, and safety. High-end versions are likely to include automatic climate control, powered ORVMs, steering-mounted controls, push-button start, and a wireless smartphone charging pad.
The inclusion of a sunroof, though not panoramic, along with an advanced audio system featuring tweeters on the A-pillars, underscores Tata's commitment to offering a premium experience. Safety features are equally impressive, with rear disc brakes, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera setup, and a blind-spot monitor.
In line with Tata Motors' ambition for a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, the Curvv is set to be equipped with six airbags, ESC, hill-hold assist, a tyre pressure monitor, and an air purifier, with the possibility of ADAS technology being introduced to rival offerings from Hyundai and Kia.
