On 7th July, the central government saw a change in different ministries. PM Modi's cabinet government reshuffled to give responsibilities to new faces in the cabinet. The restructuring mainly focused on empowering women in cabinet ministry. Along with some focus on SC, ST and OBC candidates in the ministry. The government is now constituted with much more diversity. The government now wants to be more inclusive towards diverse backgrounds. Therefore they included 11 new female ministers to serve the nation. Similarly, the Finance Minister isn't penalised for reshuffling which proves that this time the government is going to give their motto to voters as 'Mahilao Ki Sarkaar'.
The interesting point I got to see in this cabinet was Jyotiraditya M Scindia who left Congress and joined BJP recently and he was given a new role in the cabinet directly. It may be wrong news for Congress but it might be fruitful for the NDA alliance.
While critics are considering it as a game before elections to attract the voters towards their main goal. Voters from different caste backgrounds will vote for the candidates from their caste background. Somewhere, all these points are most likely to be true. Whatever the changes made by the government it may be kept at something in focus maybe the upcoming elections or to bring balance in the cabinet I personally don't feel the need now. The ex-ministers who were holding their position were doing well and they didn't need to opt out of their position. But I am happy to see more females in the cabinet as the demand for women's reservation in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha had been in the appeal for so long. And finally we are seeing that. I also hope that this newly selected cabinet should do well and make the right decisions. We could see the effect in decision making processes after inclusion of more females in the Upper house.
