Portion control is the way to go to lose those extra kilos! It may not be that easy to discipline ourselves - we may still not be able to help reaching out for that yummy snack or that second helping of a delicious dessert. But there are easy ways to work around this;
1 Eat more fibre - It helps you feel full without adding extra calories, helping curb your hunger. It's a good idea to start your meal with salads so you end up eating less of the main course. Also, you can add sabja seeds to your smoothies, barley to your soups, beetroot to your salads and a bowl of oats to your breakfast.
2 Drink water before & after meals - A glassful of water half an hour before lunch will promote a feeling of fullness, helping you eat less. Follow up half an hour later with another glassful of water instead of reaching out for that dessert! You can warm up the water too with a stick of cinnamon or some elaichi for a light flavour.
