This is my go to gentle method for waking up a sleeping baby. Like us, who likes to be woken up abruptly especially during a deep stage of sleep, it leaves you feeling grumpy, irritable and still super sleepy!
Follow this step by step and let's see if it makes a difference for you;
1 If you're using white noise, switch it off and give bub some time to rouse.
2 Start letting natural light in - open the door, opening some blinds... whatever works in your house!
3 Start opening up their swaddle, sleepy suit.
4 Low voice and gentle Touch.
5 Remove extra layers if needed.
