The Active Defiance Method:
The Active Defiance Method tricks your brain into becoming productive and disciplined by using its own negative thoughts as active triggers.
This is how it works:
1.The first step is easy. Recognise when you have thoughts of being lazy. This could be the thought of snoozing your alarm instead of getting up or choosing to scroll on your phone instead of being productive or working on something actually important.
2. Turn them into triggers - now you are aware of your thoughts, use them as triggers to do the opposite. This is where the "defiance" part comes in. So if you have the thought of not wanting to workout, that's means you really should workout. Make it a game. Challenge yourself and actively defy your thoughts in favour of the long term results!
3. Repeat - do this consistently for a couple of weeks and you'll begin to regain control over your mind again, having it align with your goals instead of sabotaging you in the long term.
This is exactly what I used every time i didn't want to workout or edit for hours and it guaranteed i was productive!
