Although i disagree with some of your points, I like hearing seeing the perspective from the left standpoint. Also if you want to hear Gina Carano’s perspective on this issue and you also will get more info about how it all went down you can listen to her interview with Ben Shapiro here: https://youtu.be/mxObG659Sc0
I understand if you don’t want to watch it because it is a pretty lengthy discussion but some of the major points are made from minutes 20-40 in the video.
Hey,
I have to be honest, after hearing about this interview at least it clears up her intentions, which I believe seem to be good. After all we should try and work to remove layers of partisan bickering until we can be the “united” states once again. But then again even though her intentions were good she should’ve definitely given it an extra thought before posting. Perhaps rather than make the comparison she did, she could’ve just said “Stop the partisan hate” or something like that. I feel like if she said that, not only would she still have her job and not have been canceled, she may have been able to gain even more supporters because a more middle ground message would’ve been able to get more people on board.
Also just as a side note if those ARE her intentions, they obviously weren’t made clear to everyone. So why didn’t she retract/modify her statement?
And once again about Pascal’s post, I think it’s important to remember one of my examples from my last post. I won’t retype it due to the length of it, but I’d like to highlight certain bits of it. The Germans didn’t kill 6 million Jews the moment Nazi’s took power. They employed tactics that discouraged Jews from living in Germany (such as the one I explained in my last argument), before striking. They played the waiting game you might call it, since they waited for the chaos of the war to ensue, before they began genocide. Those similar tactics were used at the border as well, so I feel like that’s very important to note. And I totally get your point of Pascal’s comparison not being worthy, but let me clarify that while there wasn’t any genocide happening at the border, there are several common threads from the detainments, to the Holocaust. So, because of that it’s a more appropriate comparison than what Carano posted.
