Religion should have been abolished thousands of years ago. Religion has caused a great deal of terror, pain, death, torture, and has slowed scientific progress.

Do we not see how cruel the very concept of religion is? So many people losing their lives and sanity over some narcissistic, egoistic, angry entity.

In a world with no religion, individual rights and scientific advancement would not be hampered as a result of what some people believe their God desires.

Decisions would be based on logic and reason, not on interpretations of writings written in a time when people believed you became sick because god(s) were furious and didn't understand why the sun set at night.

Oh, and people wouldn't kill each other over who has the more authentic god.
