During ny school times and even during these college friends, some of my close friends and my Junior used to share their personal matter with me sharing how their Moms and other females in their family members are being Witnessed for Domestic Violence.

I often wonder why their mothers or anyone from their family does not lodge a file case against it cause what was happening was wrong.

👉They are not financially secured to support themselves if divorce happens.

👉There is a pressure from parents and society to make that marriage work even if you are not happy. Otherwise you will be looked down and frowned upon in Indian society.

👉So many Indian women believe that its better to have a abusive husband rather than not having husband as so many women dom’t have courage to stand alone, women are taught that they have to be submissive in society.

👉They don’t think this is a problem. Yes, so many women in India refuse to believe that abusing is an actual problem. They think its their husbands right to do so or men may be little aggressive sometime (yes, I have met such women personally).

👉India is not very much safe for single women, also so many parents choose not to support their daughters if she decides to separate or speak against husband, so they believe its better to suffer with their husbands.

👉For the sake of kids’ better future.

As, other people have mentioned they are not aware of the laws.
