IBSF snooker championship: Natasha Chethan notches two wins in U-21 group stage
India’s Natasha Chethan notched up two wins in the group stage of the IBSF World under-21 women’s snooker championship at KSBA in Bengaluru on Sunday.
Natasha, who won bronze in the previous edition of the tournament, took out fellow Indian Sameeksha Devan and Iran’s Setayesh Amirazimi.
Natasha suffered an early setback against Setayesh, losing the first frame. Natasha climbed back into the contest in a close second frame, which went down to the black ball.
Despite a couple of black ball fouls, Natasha was able to get the done in the decider.
Aanya Patel, another home favourite, also recorded two group stage wins.
In the boys’ under-17 event, Jabez Naveen Kumar sailed through his Group ‘C’ engagements undefeated.
