Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has called for the reopening of girls' schools in Afghanistan during a protest rally in the Swedish capital, Stockholm.
She tweeted on Friday, June 10, that she had gathered to show solidarity with Afghan girls and their right to education.
"Let Afghan girls study," it wrote in their slogans.
Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg also took part in the protest.
"Climate justice includes the right of girls to education," reads the slogan she holds.
Malala Yousafzai has repeatedly called for the reopening of Afghan girls' schools after the Taliban closed schools above sixth grade.
The 2012 Nobel Peace Prize winner was shot in the head by the Taliban in Pakistan's Swat Valley while inside a school.Now she has become one of the most serious advocates of girls' education.
