In view of the worrying situation in the West Asian country Lebanon, the Indian Embassy in Beirut has issued a travel advisory. The Indian Embassy has asked citizens to avoid traveling to war-torn and conflict areas. Helpline number- +96176860128 and e-mail ID- cons.beirut@mea.gov.in have also been issued by the Embassy to help the citizens in case of emergency.

The Indian Embassy in Beirut wrote in a post on X late night that as per the advisory issued on August 1, 2024 and in view of the recent developments and tensions in West Asia, Indian citizens are strictly advised not to travel to Lebanon till further orders
