Next bill in Parliament could be on Bindi. World over it was showcased as an Indian identity, not Indian Hindu or Indian non Hindu identity. But that was during the days of Incredible india. Authors of Intolerant India have set it's rules and parameters on the principles of hate and hate mongering.
So true. A fascist state surrounded by secular Pakistan, Secular Afghanistan, secular China and secular Bangladesh.
It’s contradictory for jinaejee’s post to say that: “It seems to me you’re having an identity crisis and imposing your ‘my choice, no bindi’ ideology onto others.”
The whole point of Seedsofhappiness post is to chose self-determination by reclaiming a narrative that is being used to create irrational fear about religions and festivals by policing who can or can’t wear a ‘Bindi’.
This boycott FabIndia / NoBindiNoBusiness campaign aligns with the irrational idea that ‘Hindu identity is under threat’ — an idea that the fascist mainstream uses to instigate and coverup the violence against Muslims.
If you’re boycotting FabIndia, do it because they succumbed to a politician’s tweet rather than taking a stand against hate that targets Muslims.
