India is unstoppable in its space exploration as it's ready for yet another mission.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is getting ready to launch the first Gaganyaan mission, with Vyommitra, a female-looking space-faring humanoid robot as its first tester.
Chandrayaan's soft-landing near the south pole of the moon has proved ISRO's mettle. And with Aditya L1 launched on September 2, 2023, preparations for a manned flight are next on the agenda.
The Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh expressed hope that the first trial for Gaganyaan might take place in October, which is the next month.
Gaganyaan is the ambitious project of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in which the agency aims to send humans into space.
The chairperson of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) S Somnath had also said that a mission would be conducted by September end or October for demonstration purposes. “For Ganganyaan, we will do a mission possibly by the end of September or October to demonstrate the crew module and crew escape capability. It will be followed by several test missions until we do the first manned mission, possibly by 2025,” the ISRO chief was quoted as saying.
