In anticipation of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, IndiGo Airlines has commenced direct flight operations between Mumbai and Ayodhya. The flights, operating twice daily, aim to facilitate travel for devotees and visitors attending the auspicious event presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22.
IndiGo's Mumbai-Ayodhya flights, labeled 6E 5378 and 6E 5379, will operate at 12:30 pm and 3:15 pm, respectively. This initiative follows the airline's earlier introduction of direct flights from Delhi and Ahmedabad to Ayodhya.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed their pleasure in connecting three major cities to Ayodhya within weeks of the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport's inauguration. The airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on December 30.
The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony on January 22 will witness PM Modi's presence along with the participation of sages, eminent personalities, cricketers, film stars, and industrialists. Lakshmi Kant Dixit, a priest from Varanasi, will conduct the ceremony at 12:20 pm, expected to conclude by 1 pm. The consecration rituals, including a divine bath for the idol of Ram Lalla, have already commenced, leading up to the grand event. Afterward, the Ram temple will be open for worship by devotees, anticipating a significant influx of pilgrims and tourists from across India.
