APJ Abdul Kalam used to say that you are handsome if you can care to give your hands to some for help. I believe social service is a moral responsibility and I can’t agree with you no more. However, mandating it under rule system is a plan that is more likely backfire than to create a sustainable impact.

Why am I saying so? I have got reasons too for sure. Though it’s a good endeavour yet social service is a heart to heart connection for mankind and fixating it under scheme would just bring discomfort among the masses who cannot contribute significantly.

Secondly, considering psychologically, we are more likely to get frustrated working under a ruling system than working with a positive and free mind-set. Here in case if one does not comply to the rules, he gets punished/penalised thus creating insecurities regarding the working of society. H would instead start feeling hatred for the society who’s being too harsh on him.

I believe it’s better to conduct events and seminars wherein street plays and mime shows can motivate the masses to work for noble cause. They can instead be taken on expeditions/visit to help people and get to feel the emotions of love and care for each and every living being.
