For the past 20 years, Afghanistan's previous governments, human rights and civil society organizations have been celebrating International Women's Day, but this year no action has been taken except for the Taliban Foreign Ministry's Twitter message, which was intended to draw the attention of governments and organizations.
Although there is no celebration of International Women's Solidarity Day in Afghanistan this year, a number of international organizations, former government officials, Afghan citizens and foreign diplomats posted messages on Twitter and Facebook congratulating Afghan women on March 8, stressing that They will always be by their side and will spare no effort to realize their rights.

The British Embassy in Kabul tweeted: "Britain congratulates Afghan women and girls today. "Education, empowerment and an end to violence against women and girls will shape a brighter future for them." Without mentioning the Taliban's widespread violation of women's rights, the British embassy staffer added that women's participation in society benefits all Afghans.
