Intriguing New Poster Reveals Unique Characters in KBS2’s “Iron Family”
KBS2’s upcoming weekend drama “Iron Family” has released an engaging new group poster, spotlighting the unique personalities of its cast.
Written by Seo Sook Hyang, known for “Pasta,” “Don’t Dare to Dream” (also known as “Jealousy Incarnate”), and “Wok of Love,” “Iron Family” is a dark comedy about a family running a laundry business for three generations.
The poster features Kim Jung Hyun, Geum Sae Rok, Park Ji Young, Shin Hyun Joon, Kim Hye Eun, Choi Tae Joon, Yang Hye Ji, Kim Young Ok, Park In Hwan, Wang Ji Hye, and Kim Hyun Jun, each with props that hint at their characters' distinct traits.
Kim Jung Hyun’s character, Seo Kang Joo, holds a cherished lighter with a heart-shaped flame aimed at Geum Sae Rok’s Lee Da Rim, suggesting a fiery romance. Lee Da Rim, who has been struggling with a rare illness since she was 14 that gradually narrows her vision, is depicted with a cane and a bright smile.
Choi Tae Joon’s Cha Tae Woong, Lee Da Rim’s protective older brother, points enthusiastically at her, while Yang Hye Ji’s Lee Cha Rim, a designer at Jiseung Group, is surrounded by sewing accessories, sparking curiosity about their roles.
Park Ji Young portrays Go Bong Hee, a self-sacrificing mother and daughter-in-law of the Cheongryeom Laundry family, proudly holding an iron. Shin Hyun Joon’s Ji Seung Don, the cold-hearted chairman of Jiseung Group and Seo Kang Joo’s adoptive father, grips a bundle of money, while his ambitious wife, Baek Ji Yeon, played by Kim Hye Eun, reaches for money falling from the sky.
Kim Young Ok and Park In Hwan add intrigue with a “shh” pose, concealing a bag of money, suggesting secrets. Lastly, Wang Ji Hye with a barbecue grill and Kim Hyun Jun as a police officer promise more drama.
The production team commented, “The cast shot the poster in a warm, family-like atmosphere. The props reveal clues about how the Da Rim and Jiseung Group families will intertwine. We hope you enjoy deciphering their meanings and look forward to this romantic black comedy.”
