Apple has ushered in a new era of technology with the launch of the iPhone 15 series, which consists of four variants: the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. While the baseline models boast impressive features, the Pro models take innovation to the next level with enhanced cameras, a novel side-mounted button, a new processor, and a titanium chassis that combines aesthetics and weight reduction.
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max largely resemble each other, with the primary difference residing in the Max’s superior telephoto camera. Both phones were rigorously tested for setup ease, battery longevity, camera performance under various lighting conditions, and processor performance in everyday and demanding tasks.
Both Pro models boast a screen size of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, respectively, powered by an Apple A17 processor. Storage options range from 128GB to a whopping 1TB. The new iPhones maintain Apple’s signature industrial design, featuring sharp edges with a glass back and front. However, the new models introduce curved corners on both the front and back, making them more comfortable to hold.
The chassis of the Pro models is crafted from titanium, lending the phone a luxurious look and feel. Available colors include natural titanium, white titanium, black titanium, and blue titanium. While the display remains largely unchanged from the previous year, Apple has managed to trim down the bezel around the screen, enhancing the immersive experience.
A notable design alteration in the Pro models is the replacement of the mute switch on the phone’s left side with a new, customizable button. This button can be configured to perform a variety of functions, such as launching the camera, activating the torch, starting a voice note, opening a specific app, and more.
The new iPhones are lighter than their predecessors, thanks to the innovative materials used in their construction. Moreover, the cameras have been upgraded to deliver superior image quality and additional features, making these latest models a significant leap forward in Apple’s technological journey.
