Is Canada a hub of terrorists, and gangsters as several dreaded gangsters, including Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar, Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dalla Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa, who have been operating against India from the Canadian soil.
On Punjab police's request, Interpol has already issued a red corner notice (RCN) against Brar and Dalla and is in the process of issuing it against Landa, as reported by the TimesofIndia.
A native of Muktsar Sahib, Brar had moved to Canada in 2017 on a student visa and had been a member of the dreaded Lawrence Bishnoi gang with involvement in numerous terror activities and extortions.
Brar had claimed responsibility for killing Punjabi singer-turned-politician Sidhu Moose Wala on May 29 last year. Brar had also claimed responsibility for Sirsa Dera follower and Bargari sacrilege case accused Pradeep Sharma's murder in Kotkapura in November last year. Interpol had issued an RCN against Brar on July 9 last year.
An accomplice of KTF chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar, gangster-turned-terrorist Dalla - a native of Moga was involved in various terror activities in Punjab.
Punjab police has busted several modules backed by Dalla with the arrest of his close aides and recovered improvised explosive devices, hand grenades and other arms and ammunition from them. The Union home ministry had designated Dalla as an "individual terrorist" on the recommendation of the NIA this year and the Interpol had issued an RCN last year.
The NIA had in February this year announced a reward of Rs 15 lakh against Landa. A native of Harike in Tarn Taran district, Landa is now settled in Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. The NIA had registered a case against Landa in 2022 in Delhi under the UAPA. He is wanted by the NIA for the RPG attack on the Punjab Police intelligence headquarters in Mohali on May 9 last year.
The Interpol has already issued RCN, on Punjab police's request, against anti-India terrorists Malkeet Singh alias Fauji settled in Surrey, Gurjinder Singh Pannu settled in Hamilton of Canada, Gurpreet Singh based in Brampton city in the Ontario province, Gurjeet Singh Cheema based in Brampton and Toronto and Tehal Singh based in Toronto.
