Do you wonder if your newborn waking through the night (or most of the night) is normal?

Well this is a question I get asked a lot. And the answer never changes….... YES - your newborn being awake at night is very NORMAL. Some newborns seem to be more night owls, wanting to be entertained and cuddled through the night, more than others - every baby is different. It is important to remember that newborns are not born with fully developed circadian rhythms (like we have as adults), which is why newborns wake up so often. It will take your baby between 2 and 4 months to sort themselves out naturally. They are doing everything they should be, don't be too hard on them. And don't be too hard on yourself. Your baby waking is natural - not a reflection of your parenting ability!
