India played in the Asia Pacific twice and I happen to have won medals in both the tournaments and this is something that encourages me to go forward even today.
I have competed in 3 Commonwealth games that is 2010, 2014 and 2022 which marks my proud moments. I also have 2 Asia Pacific medals that is right below the championship and I am the only person to have it in Women's single. I have a bronze medal in Asia Pacific that was held in Australia, my highest ranking medal till now.
Balancing academic pursuits and sports requires effective time management and dedication. Prioritizing tasks, maintaining a well-structured schedule, and adhering to disciplined study and training routines are crucial. Additionally, setting realistic goals, seeking support from mentors, and ensuring adequate rest and nutrition are essential for optimal performance in both realms. Speaking for myself, I did not leave out on my studies midway, rather I am an MBA grad from Tejpur University and currently working as an assistant engineer in Pwd. I hear a lot of athletes even today in Assam are bound to leave out on their academics so that they can pursue a particular sports of interest in full force but if asked my opinion, it is necessary doable if the right amount of dedication and hardwork in put on both sides. The significance of balancing studies and sports for me lies in its holistic impact on an individual's development. Engaging in sports not only promotes physical well-being but also fosters mental resilience, discipline, teamwork, and time management skills. Simultaneously, academic pursuits provide intellectual growth and opportunities for future careers. Managing both enables individuals to cultivate a well-rounded personality, enhancing their overall well-being and future prospects.
