I’m a big fan of the belief that we all have special gifts to share with the world. If you take the time to polish them, develop them, and grow them, they reward you well beyond what you put in. That is what an investment is. An investment is something that you have because you hope that in the future it will appreciate or grow in value.
Investing can also refer to ‘effort’ and or ‘time’, not simply a monetary contribution. We can also invest in people, not just ‘things’. We can invest in relationships (including the one we have with ourselves) as well as own personal and professional selves. However, investing in ourselves is not often something we budget for, or make a priority.
Investing in your personal and professional growth will not only yield future returns, it also presents you with ‘right now’ benefits. The time, effort and money you invest into yourself will have a direct impact on the quality of life you experience now and well into the future. Some of the most successful people alive today attribute much of their success to their investment into their own personal development and wellbeing. Investing in yourself helps to create a strong and secure foundation with which to build on throughout your life and will impact your ability to prosper, perform, achieve your goals and live to the fullest.
What have you done recently to invest in yourself?
People go to high professional Guru’s and spend lakhs to get a road to walk on, to find the best version of themselves.
Here are some of my ways to walk on the journey :- To invest in yourself
1. Read Books or eBooks
2. Stay in Touch with Family and Friends
3. Learn Something New or a new skill or polish the skills you already have and be a master it in.
4. Engage in Creative Activities
5. Set Goals
6. Meditate and Practice Mindfulness
7. Master your confidence
8. Make a Routine
9. Measure Results
“The Best investment you can make, is an investment in yourself. The more you learn, the more you’ll earn”.
