Reading is always a pleasure, it brings a sense of calmness and understanding.
But to choose a book intently from the cornucopia of gems is not easy.
There are many books that have had a deep impact on me but if I think of one then it would be Franz Kafka’s Letter to Father.
Written by Franz Kafka in 1919, it’s not a novel or a collection of prose instead it is a letter to his father.
The most intriguing part of this book is the way the author has taken time to describe each part of his feelings for his father so explicitly.
Despite sharing a complex bond with his dad, he had a positive intent to write, hoping to renew the relationship that was dimmed by frustration and tension.
The language indeed is one of the other reasons why we should read this letter at least once. Although, it was originally written in German the English translation is equally similar to the real one.
Secondly, written by the connoisseur himself, there’s a lot this book can offer to you.
When you read Kafka’s other works you’ll just know him by his stories but these letters will bring you the delight of knowing him as a person.
It’s not the one time I have read it instead it has enchanted my attention multiple times.
So this is one book that I would recommend to every book lover!!
