I've never read The Sandman comics, but I became interested in this show after watching the trailer on Netflix. It did not disappoint! I thoroughly enjoyed watching this show and getting to know the characters, especially the dreams, nightmares, and, of course, Morpheus himself! Tom Sturridge did an amazing job convincing me that he is a supreme being that has dominion over the dream realm.

 

I binge-watched all eleven episodes in just a few days. I'm already hoping for more of this show. I hope it doesn't take too long to come out with another season! I liked the fact that each episode had its own story and agenda, like a mini-movie, while still forming part of the larger plot. I think the cast did a magnificent job. I'm ecstatic that this show was renewed for a second season, as I believe it is well-deserved.

 

In the second season, I want to learn more about Morpheus, so I hope they focus on him a little more and his family. I'm very intrigued by the Endless family and can't wait to see how their story unfolds!

 

I recommend this show to anyone who is into fantasy, the Sandman comics, supernatural thrillers or dramas, or just wants a new show to binge on in general. Seriously, give this show a chance. I can't imagine anyone not being entertained by this series.
