J.K. Rowling has been the target of transphobia allegations for a long time. The accusations date back to when she 'liked' a tweet that appeared to be critical of the transgender rights movement and extended personal blogs on feminism.
The author of the Harry Potter series, who is well-known for establishing the world of Hogwarts and many other memorable quotes, has come under fire for her remarks, notably from the casts of both the Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter movie series.
As per Glamour, reports about J.K. Rowling's views on gender go back to 2017 and 2018, when she was accused of liking tweets that were critical of the transgender movement and made disparaging remarks about trans women. She later claimed in a statement and a blog post that it was a mistake!
