Amidst the preparations for the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla, a statue of Jatayu made of bronze was installed on Kuber Tila located in the Janmabhoomi complex on Monday.

On January 22, the Prime Minister will unveil the statue of Jatayu.

Treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Trust, Govind Devagiri, says that the Prime Minister will first go to the Ram temple to offer flowers on the statue of Jatayu and then will consecrate the life of Ramlala in the Ram temple.

He told that the reason behind installing the statue of Jatayu is that the way Jatayu had sacrificed his life in devotion to Shri Ram and Mother Sita during Treta period and in this Kaliyuga, lakhs of rupees were spent for the grand temple of Shri Ram for 500 years. Ram devotees have made sacrifices.

Today, the statue of Jatayu, symbolizing those struggles and sacrifices, has been installed. Trust member Dr. Anil Mishra said that to install this statue, a mountain of 5 feet high stones has been prepared. On which the statue of Jatayu has been installed.

The ancient Shiv temple located on Kuber Tila in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex is also being renovated by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Trust member Dr. Anil Mishra said that the Shivalinga situated on the mound is being given grandeur in the form of a hemispherical temple. The statue of Jatayu has also been installed in front of this temple.
