Good to see you after long.
I really enjoyed the film. SRK is a huge entertainer ๐
Nice! Can't wait to watch it! ๐๐๐ฟ
For once, the positive reviews were true and something from Bollywood actually managed to live up to its hype. Jawan against my reservations, had turned out to be an amazing film which is full of typical masala, consisting of high octane action, drama, romance, thrills, music, dancing and messaging.
The whole thing is a grand spectacle, with Bollywood's some of the most outrageously over the top tropes, while further amping it up with the craziness of South Indian cinema.
The acting is amazing, particularly from SRK and Vijay Sethupathi who were the highlights. The rest of the cast also delivers their best.
The visuals are brilliant, the story is a creative one, and while it gets a bit politically preachy, it's not really targeted at anyone in particular.
Atlee, perfectly understood where to deliver and how to do it. The production is top notch, and despite the physics defying aspects, there are a lot of emotional moments which actually feel real.
The action is full scale nonsense, but done with so much heart and self awareness that it is a delight to watch. The cinematography, script, music, dancing is all what we have already seen, and yet is different.
The best part of Jawan is that it is completely stupid aware and does not hide it in the least. Things are in your face, but still there is a strong subtlety in the overall delivery.
One of my few gripes here however, is the overuse of slow-mo, just way too much. But nonetheless, the movie is one of SRK's finest, and is a full on entertainer with all the right elements.
An excellent production, which for once deserves its box office and all the praise its been getting.
A flawed but great experience that fully delivers.
