Jenna Ortega revealed that she auditioned for the role of Chani in Dune.

Jenna Ortega shared that she likely auditioned for Denis Villeneuve's Dune about six years ago, around the age of 15. Ortega speculated that she might have tried out for the role of Chani, a part that ultimately went to Zendaya. Although details of the audition were kept under wraps at the time, Ortega was thrilled to meet Villeneuve, one of her favorite directors.

Looking back on her early start in acting, Ortega reflected on her mother's protective nature and expressed no regrets about the path her career has taken. Currently, Ortega is busy promoting her role in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
