Waterfall and the new friends!
What was relieving to know that a large part of the village comes under the National Forest Area. So, no one is not allowed to build or cut trees beyond certain specific designated areas.
The walk back to the hostel was uphill, and after reaching back I found many more travelers.
For a person like me, knowing stories and having hearty conversations are a treat in itself. Amid the chilly nights, the hostel was buzzing with young travelers. I talked with a guy from Kerala who is an avid traveler, and was going to Argentina. The next day, I talked to another person who's now an amazing friend and a great singer.
In Jibhi, I met too many strangers but they all felt so familiar in their own ways. Before leaving Jibhi, I decided to at least explore the waterfall. Hence, I woke up early in the morning and just 10 minutes walk from the hostel was located the mesmerizing waterfall of Jibhi. Although I couldn't witness the rainbow, but I heard everyday that when the first ray of Sun sets in the fall one can see a rainbow.
My heart felt heavy before leaving Jibhi, the strangers felt like friends, and the place felt like my own. It's been a month and more and I still reminisce about the moments I spent in the little Himalayan village.
Oh my dearest Jibhi, I can't wait to come back to you, I truly miss you!
