John Hammond's vision wasn't just a park that could be created on this island, he wants to open them all around the world. Before the opening a dinosaur handler is killed by a dinosaur, the investors want a group of experts to be called in and certify the safety of the park. The lawyer of the investors calls upon Ian Malcom - a chaos-theorist.Hammond invites paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant and paleobotanist Dr. Ellie Sattler. Everyone is amazed when they see a alive Brachiosaurus. Ian warns Hammond about the dangerous of playing with nature like this and it will have repercussions. Hammond explains how the cloning process was done and Ian tells him that the way they have conceptualized this park will eventually break down.
A lead programmer is bribed by Hammond rival company to steal the embryos of the dinosaurs, he does so but switches off the power and security system of park in the process. This allows most of the dinosaurs to leave their holdings and they attack Malcolm's car and kill the lawyer. Malcom is saved by Grant. Dinosaurs have been able to reproduce on their own due to some of the genetic coding done without prior research. Upon numerous near desth encounters finally they are able to leave the park on a helicopter.
The movie was a tremendous box-office success and critically acclaimed as well. It took a very simple and well made conflict, presenting it in a different way with a lesson of it own.
