Tibet Policy Institute of the Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration, launched a book earlier today containing a compilation of articles which explores ‘China and the Changing Global Order: Prospects and Challenges’ with the gracious presence of Kalon (minister) Norzin Dolma from the Department of Information and International Relations.
The multi-lingual publication came into being as a result of the deliberation held between the scholars and experts from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Inner Mongolia, Uyghur, Manchuria, South Korea and exiled Tibetan community in Dharamshala last June. According to the book’s editor Tsering Samdup Rigmon, a researcher at Tibet Policy Institute, the writings are mostly opinion pieces from the participants of the conference.
Addressing the event, Kalon Norzin Dolma said, “It is far more crucial to follow up and put the resolutions into effect than to simply convene a conference” and hence, she lauded the Tibet Policy Institute for their initiative. Additionally, she underscored the imperativeness of a joint effort amongst the aforementioned groups in countering their common adversary despite dissimilarities in their end goal and, therefore, stressed meetings and publication of articles as a collaboration.
The book launch was attended by Kalon Norzin Dolma, Director of the Tibet Policy Institute Dawa Tsering, and researcher Tsering Samdup Rigmon.
