Kamal Kishore Chatiwal as a new MD of IGL:
Kamal Kishore Chatiwal began his role as Managing Director of Indraprastha Gas Ltd. (IGL), the country’s largest CNG distribution company with City Gas Distribution networks operating across 30 districts in four states, including NCT of Delhi.

Chatiwal, a Chemical Engineer from IIT Delhi, has over 32 years of Oil & Gas Sector experience, particularly in Project Execution and Commissioning of Mega Petrochemical Projects, Operation & Maintenance of Gas Processing units, Natural Gas Compressor Station and cross-country LPG Pipeline. Chatiwal worked as Executive Director (O&M-JLPL) & Head of Zonal Marketing of GAIL in Jaipur previous to joining IGL.
Chatiwal also has experience in Corporate planning and strategy, Project Development and Corporate training. IGL is a collaboration between GAIL (India) Ltd. and BPCL, while the Govt. of NCT of Delhi owns a 5% equity stake.

• Indraprastha Gas Ltd. (IGL) is one of the leading natural gas distribution companies in India.
• Established in 1998, IGL is a joint venture between GAIL India, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and the Government of Delhi. The company’s main objective is to provide safe, efficient and reliable natural gas to customers in the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR).
• IGL operates in the entire Delhi NCR region, including Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Rewari, Karnal, Meerut, and Sonipat.
• They provide natural gas through pipes to households, commercial establishments, and industries.
• They also supply piped natural gas (PNG) to the transportation sector, including buses and auto-rickshaws. This has helped to reduce vehicular pollution in the region significantly.
• Apart from PNG, IGL also provides compressed natural gas (CNG) to vehicles. With over 550 CNG stations in the NCR, IGL has built the largest network of CNG stations in the country.
IGL Projects:
• IGL has expanded its operations by diversifying into other fields, such as waste-to-energy and solar power.
• The company has set up a waste-to-energy plant in Noida and has collaborated with the Government of Delhi to set up solar power plants in the region.
