She described the industry as dominated by shallow conversations and a narcissistic focus, particularly among actors. According to Kangana, the typical Bollywood routine revolves around fitness and luxury, lacking any meaningful dialogue. She even compared the industry’s social gatherings to "trauma," where discussions are often limited to materialistic topics like branded bags. Despite her harsh words, Kangana acknowledged that not everyone in Bollywood fits this mold, mentioning a few writers and directors she respects. She also emphasized that she doesn't consider herself a part of Bollywood's inner circle, admitting she has no friends within the industry. As she prepares for her upcoming film "Emergency," where she portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Kangana remains as candid as ever about her views on Bollywood. The film, which is her directorial debut, is set to release on September 6, 2024.
