The Karnataka government  considered making face masks mandatory for those who are above 60 years of age as well as for people who suffer from health conditions such as heart ailments and breathing issues.

The Karnataka Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet on Tuesday to discuss the impact of the new Covid-19 subvariant following its detection in neighbouring Kerala.

The state health minister Dinesh Gundu Rao said that a new set of guidelines related to Covid-19 will be issued by the government.

Meanwhile, Bengaluru-based auto rickshaw service MetroMitra will launch its own Whatsapp chatbot feature in January 2024 to allow users to book rides to and from metro stations in just three clicks.

In addition to bridging the last mile connectivity to and from metro stations, the chatbot feature will also allow users to book auto rides to other destinations. Read more about the chatbot here.
