KB DAV NSS VOLUNTEERS PLANT LIFE WITH A TREE PLANTATION DRIVE

It has not taken too long for the problem of global warming to be accentuated with the world average temperature soaring high and setting new records. Keeping in mind the need for more trees to be planted in the vicinity, KB DAV SENIOR SECONDARY PUBLIC SCHOOL- NSS Wing shook hands with the Municipal Corporation office in Chandigarh to hold a tree plantation drive on 22 July, 2023 in front of the School building and Sports Complex area in Sector. 7, Chandigarh. As many as 60 saplings were planted by the NSS volunteers with the help of MCC workers present there. The NSS Programme Officer Mrs. Nitu Vashishth led the drive under the able guidance of the School Principal, Mrs. Pooja Prakash. The volunteers understood the need of not only planting one sapling every year, but also adopting that sapling and taking care of it from year to year till it becomes a tree. The volunteers pledged to keep their surroundings always green and propagate the message far and wide.
